From Our Godfather of Cigars

Padrino is for those who dream of a sensory getaway from the stress and tension of everyday life. It is a rare brand that smells like old Cuban tobacco rolled by well skilled Cambodian Torcedoras under the strict guidance of our Master Sommelier, Blender and Godfather of Cigars from Cuba – Dr. Luis Antonio Sorinas Gonzalez. It is made for the Spanish inspired connoisseurs and afficionados from around the world who dream of smoking a cigar from the start to the finish in one ignition.

A Man for All Seasons

Luis was born in Cuba in 1960, he graduated from Moscow Energy Institute and obtained a doctorate degree in Science and Technology in 1996, majoring in Physical Chemical Properties of Vegetable Tannins in Forest Species. 
Once an authoritative professor in a Cuban University, Scientific Leader at the Institute for Advanced Technology and Applied Sciences, and a member of the Science Council. Over time, Luis has dedicated himself to original and innovative studies on black tobacco varieties, tobacco planting, curing and fermentation of black tobacco, cigar flavors and cigar craft in Cuban and Central American countries. 
From 1997 till 2016, he has provided professional guidance for internationally renowned cigar brands like Partagas, H. Upmann, La Corona and Cohiba (El Laguito). He also serves as technique specialist for cigar appreciation training and implementing quality management and environmental management system in premium Cuban cigar factories. While serving as a host lecturer for the cigar club of Melia Cohina, he participated in developing and testing new Habanos products, for line brand cigars, limited editions and regional editions.

Tobacco, Time, Work.

The fundamental recipe for Padrino includes time, work and quality tobacco. The filler tobacco comes from Honduras and Nicaragua, the wrapper from Ecuador, and the Besuki binder from neighboring Indonesia.

Excellent construction and combustibility round, pleasant smoke pellet on the nose and palate. On a base of black tobacco, it presents notes of dry red wood, dry toasted grains, with floral details in the third thirds. Herbaceous and camphor notes in the second and third thirds enrich the smoke. Elegant, slightly herbaceous finish with hints of wood and camphor.

Excellent construction and combustibility. A round, pleasant smoke ball on the nose and palate. On a base of bl acktobacco, delicate notes of hard nuts and fresh dry cocoa stand out. The notes of dry red wood are intense and blend well with hints of fresh tanned leather.

Excellent construction and combustibility. A round, pleasant smoke pellet on the nose, palate, and aftertaste. Very aromatic from the moment it's lit. Intense notes of hard, dry beans, coffee, and cocoa stand out. Also prominent are notes of dry red wood, well integrated with nuances of earthy honey and fresh leather. Herbaceous, camphorous, and floral notes in the second and third thirds, which blend well with the dry wood. Intensely finish with hints of wood and camphor.

Round, intense and pleasant voluta on the nose, palate, and aftertaste. It is powerful and aromatic from its ignition. Intense notes of hard dry beans, coffee and cocoa stand out. The notes of dry red wood also stand out, well pasted with hints of honey from the earth and fresh leather. Its three thirds are very balanced and mix delicate memories of dried forest flowers and candied nuts. Very elegant and intense closure, on a camphor base that provides a delicate freshness when finishing the cigar.

Round and very aromatic smoke voluta. Distinguished and fresh on the nose and palate. Notes of dried forest flowers are noted at the beginning, which give way to an intense dry red wood and dry beans, with notable tips of coffee and dry cocoa. Notes of earthy honey and young leather, red pepper and light sandalwood are enjoyed. Very balanced in its three thirds, with a dense and aromatic smoke voluta that refreshes the nose and palate. Intense and very elegant finish, camphorated, rich in dried grains and candied ripe fruits. The delicate notes of red wood and delicate honey round out its finish.
Medium body.
